Patented innovations are the primary drivers of growth for Piiloset – Patent coverage extended to Australia
Lieto, 29.05.2026 Piiloset (Oy Finnsusp Ab) invests heavily to research & development. This is reflected in our patented innovations, which strengthen our company’s competitiveness and support our strong international growth.
We are pleased to announce that our extensive patent application concerning DEMET® water-oil-microemulsion and its use (Ophthalmic formulation and its use, AU2021250825B2) has been granted by Australian Patent Office. The original patent concerning microemulsion products (EP3888634C0) was already granted in Europe in 2023. Patents create a solid foundation for new business opportunities and long-term growth. DEMET® water-oil-microemulsion is used e.g. in the PuroTM Suoja and private label eye spray product as well as in new product development.

Patent strengthens the Piiloset position as a pioneer in eye health and supports the company’s strategy to develop and protect innovative solutions globally. The approval is a significant milestone in the company’s research & development efforts as well as in commercialization.
